The town’s Public Infrastructure & Protective Services committee meets today at town hall and on the agenda, councillors will discuss the capital roads project for the next two years.
At the last council meeting the roads project was discussed during budget talks with the town wanting to come in zero per increase for everything except roads. A 1.5% increase will be levied, the all of the increase going to repairing towns roads.
Also on the agenda, councillors will hear from the District on their activities in the area, as well as Fire Marque on the implementation of recovery of costs from insurance companies for structure fires the fire dept responds to.
Lyle Payne & Bill Weber will be talking to councillors about a covered shelter on the town dock.
