Metroland Media, owners of the local newspapers in Muskoka and Parry Sound have undergone another round of layoffs in the area that has resulted in lost jobs for one Huntsville woman, and two employees in Parry Sound.  The cost cutting also involves the closure of the Gravenhurst Banner office, with the staff working out of the Bracebridge Examiner office. 

Additional job cuts were announced in other communities in Simcoe as well.
