The town showed off its facilities and plans to delegates of the Ontario 55+ Winter Games yesterday following a tour of the area. Nearly 100 delegates from all over Ontario met the organizing committee and got a recap of how the games were going to unfold at the Active Living Centre.
Mayor Claude Doughty said that Huntsville was ready to host the athletes with some of the best facilities in Ontario and experience holding other Ontario Games in the past.
The Games slated for early next year are expected to bring in thousands of athletes, coaches and family to the area.
