Emergency crews battled a blaze at Lofthouse in Burks Falls yesterday.  The fire started in an air filtration system called the smog hog, forcing employees to flee the building.  Fire crews from Burks Falls, Perry, Magnetewan, and Sundridge were on scene to battle the blaze.

The damage to the bulding is unknown at this time.

Lofthouse is the village’s largest employer with over 150 on staff.
