A couple from Orillia left Toronto Monday afternoon with a significant amount of money - $25 million to be specific. Susannah and Ron Higgs say they are avid lottery players, who were shocked when they learned they had won the big prize.
The couple says they have played the same Lotto Max numbers for more than two years. Ron, 59, works for a steel manufacturer and Susannah, 56, works for an engineering company in Orillia.
This is not the first luck the couple has had with the lottery, as they won $10,000 on an Instant Crossword ticket back in 2000. That winning ticket had been a gift in a Christmas stocking.
The couple says they'll give away at least half to their family. But there's one thing they won't do - quit their day jobs. Both have vowed to be back at work this week.
