Councillor John Davis is spearheading a campaign to collect books for the Elliot Lake Library through the Rotary Club of Huntsville and Lake of Bays. The club has been busy collecting books for the library that was destroyed in the roof collapse at the Elliot Lake Mall. Davis says that many books were destroyed in the collapse and Rotary Clubs have been boxing up books to replace the collection.

The club would welcome any donations of boxed books tomorrow at noon at Robinson’s Independent Grocer, before they are shipped north to Elliot Lake. Davis says his club has already assembled 50 boxes and would welcome more.
