Central Ontario hasn’t avoided Sandy’s wrath with the are experiencing hundreds of reported power outages this morning affecting thousands of people. Hydro crews are in the process of assessing the damage and dispatching crews, but the sheer number of outages will mean that power restoration to the entire region will take time.

Residents should take extra caution today when traveling or venturing outside as downed trees could pull down hydro wires. Hydro One recommends residents steer clear and report any downed wires.
