The Ontario Government is reporting that the Restricted FireZone for Algonquin Provincial Park has been ended as of this morning. Recentchanges in weather have helped alleviate the wildfire hazard.

The fire ban is still in effect for the District of Muskoka.

Campers should keep campfires small and never leave them unattended. Always ensure fires are put out before leaving the site by drowning your fire, stirring the ashes with a stick to uncover hot coals and then drowning it again.
