Grandson of Former Huntsville Mayor Appointed to Cabinet

Prime Minister Harper’s new Cabinet includes 2 ministers with Huntsville connections.  Beside our own MP Tony Clement, Chris Alexander MP for Ajax-Pickering was appointed as Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism yesterday.  He recently served as the first Canadian ambassador in Afghanistan.
Alexander is the grandson of former Huntsville Mayor Don Lough, and has strong ties with the community  spending his summers here when he was younger.
Alexander's mother Andrea says that the family is thrilled and humbled that their son has been chosen along with many younger people in Harper's new cabinet.
