Tip leads to impaired charges
A Scarborough man has been charged with impaired thanks to a tip from a concerned citizen in Almaguin Highlands.
Almaguin Highlands OPP received a complaint of a possible impaired driver around 8:30 last night.
Police located the suspect vehicle on Yonge Street in Burks Falls. While speaking with the driver police determined the driver had consumed drugs.
An arrest was made, and the driver was transported to the OPP detachment where further testing was conducted. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
As a result, 38-year-old Scarborough man, was charged with: operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday April 25 in Sundridge.
